I know exactly what you are talking about. This is what I did.

1) Variant Page -> User clicks on Submit (Aweber)
2) Conversion page should be the page that visitors come after verifying their email address.

You don't have option to install the script for Aweber.

Clear the stats in Web Forms in Aweber. Now you will have display count from Aweber for the sign-up form. You will have 2 sets of data.
+ Number of page views
+ Display count (from Aweber)
+ Conformation page (page you setup in aweber for redirection after user verifies email address)

I'm setting up a Multi-Variant test using Google Website Optimizer with the home page (which contains the sign up for) as the test. Will Google Website Optimizer work OK with multi-variant and using the confermation page of my Aweber account?

I know how to setup the experienment in GWO, put the conversion script on my landing page (where those who sign up download ebook) but was just curious if that will work OK with aweber. I'm assuming it will and will just have to try I guess. Just wasn't sure since those who sign up are (tha "action" button) isn't actually taking them directly to the conversion page but are sent there via aweber email confirmation.

Just wondering if you thought this would work or have tested this since you seem to use it for newsletter sign ups.

It could be because image was not placed at right place in the page. I had image on left side of the page and signup form on right side.

I was thinking of the same thing. I thought the one with the image would win since it could attract attention. I wonder why the Varian 1 won.
I am excited to see more of your experiment results.
