I, too, had unsatisfactory and totally unacceptable results with TrueGreen. During the first year with their contract, they did succeed in getting rid of some of my weeds, however, after they seeded, new varieties of weeds appeared. Additionally, they never could solve my numerous bare spots in the yard. During the second year, their reports during visits kept saying "watch for brown patch"....since they were visiting my lawn frequently on contract, I thought they'd let me know when and if I needed service for this. When they identified it, they said it was too late to treat. Needless to say, by the fall, I had about 80% of my lawn affected. When I talked to specialists at Lowe's they told me that brown patch could be treated anytime. I "fired" TrueGreen, reseeded myself and things are slowly improving. However, my lawn, which in past years has looked healthy, thick and green, is now thin, with moss growing in some areas. I am hopeful I can find a more trusted lawn service this year. Several of my friends have had the same experience with this company!
